Wish me luck!
Obviously my current practice is not working, thus I need to start a new habit. I have had the intention of slicing each week this year. As you can tell, that hasn't been working. I know many people who draft on Monday night and then polish and publish on Tuesday. That is my goal - for next week. Perhaps if I start now I will be good to go when we hit March. So, I am commencing a new habit. In typical procrastinator fashion, I will begin next week. Wish me luck!
I've tried different strategies too, both going with natural inclinations and resisting them -- all with varying degrees of success/failure.
ReplyDeleteWhatever strategy you go with (and it's OK to change whenever you feel like -- this isn't cold war diplomacy), the single more important thing is to write something, anything...even just a title and an image.
When I open Feedly each morning to read my blogs, I first scan through quickly to see if there is a “I’m Writing Too”. Alas long waits between blogs. I can hardly wait until March!
ReplyDeleteLove your idea of starting now to get in the habit for March. I'm wondering if I could fool myself into writing most of my March posts in February, so that I'm ready to roll when March comes around. That's probably not realistic, but writing on Mondays for Tuesdays might be a good start for March when I have to stay ahead of the game because that midnight cutoff is 9 pm PT. I don't know how these times affect you. I'll be watching for your post next Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Mondays aren't your day. Try Saturdays or Sundays. Whatever gets you in the habit for March all that matters.
