It's Monday - What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!
It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme started by Sheila at Book Journeys and now hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover your next “must-read” book!
Jen at Teach Mentor Texts and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

  1. I really like A Snicker of Magic but it isn't doing as well with my students. I have Bone Gap on my Kindle but haven't had a chance to read it yet. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  2. I think in this list the one I would most like to read is the Jimmy Carter book, he must have some wisdom at ninety.

  3. Jimmy Carter is quite an inspiring human being, I just watched a video on his work eradicating the terrible guinea worm in Africa. I wasn't alive during his presidency (nor am I an American), so I can't speak to his political career, but he seems to have really dedicated his life to helping others, which is a very worthwhile pursuit.

  5. Yay A Snicker of Magic and the Curseworkers series are two of my favorites! I I hope you enjoyed them both! I need to read Bone Gap--Donalyn is a huge fan of it and it was honored by Printz.

    Happy reading this week! :)

  6. I loved a Snicker of Magic and Bone Gap blew my mind. What a read! I haven't read the curseworkerS series, but I think I'll try it. Honestly sometimes Holly Black is a little too creepy for me.

  7. Oh we are somewhat of the same book wavelength - I just featured Bone Gap for my Monday reading as well. And I loved Snicker of Magic - which I believe I read two years back.
