Poetry has been calling to me a lot this month, which is definitely out of my writing-character, but I'm finding that fewer words often are better when it sharing some of my thoughts.
Like Patricia's comment above, I love the action in this poem. The verbs give it strength and movement. Simple and active, like so much of the good writing I've been reading this month. Nice slice
This made me smile. Try as I might, I don't think I'm going to reach 60. And I already own the Poems are Teachers book, it was more a "challenge accepted" mentality. I think I'm in the 20s, but I've lost track. Clearly not as competitive as I thought. Good luck!
A poem of mostly verbs that eloquently describes our weekend challenge - so creative! The power of poetry - thank you!
ReplyDeleteA delightful and concise rendering of this wekend’s challenge. Bravo.

Ha! Love it. I love to make poetry about simple small things in life. I teach my students that poetry is NOT intimidating.
ReplyDeleteHa! Yesterday I was chanting: “Time to post the comments. Time to post the comments.” Your #46 for me.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, you have absolutely captured the moment, it is a LOT of comments!!

ReplyDeleteReading slices is addictive! Every day, I find myself sneaking in one or two posts every chance there is!
