“It’s Monday! What are you Reading?” is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. It is a chance for book lovers to share their reading accomplishments as well as what is on the proverbial nightstand. She even does a giveaway. Subsequently Jen and Kellee at Teach Mentor Texts added an opportunity for those reading kidlit to join the fun. Since I read both I will post to both. Check them out, join the conversations, and discover more great books.
Here is what I have read in the past month. I enjoyed many of these books for a variety of reasons, but there weren’t any this month needing to go on my ‘must own’ list. Right now I am 43% of the way through a book, that I am enjoying, but it is a long book – 925 pages! (My arms are thankful for my Kindle vs. the weight of this book in print.) You’ll have to wait until next month to know what it is since I don’t post until I have finished the book.

Oh, I want to read Stupid Fast! I heard it was a very good read. And, I am curious to discover your lengthy current read. I don't have a clue what it could be, I am sure it's nothing I have read. I haven't read anything that heavy since college.
ReplyDeleteFinally, I wanted to mention The Dream Keeper and other poems. A beautiful book with beautiful illustrations. We have an original print at our school remembering our principal who we lost some years ago to cancer. Thanks for making that connection with me, it's one of my favorites.
You've read lots of good books this month, Kristi. I have heard much of Stupid Fast & have it on my TBR list. Hope you are enjoying that long, long book too!
ReplyDeleteGreat list- I have Stupid Fast on my TBR pile. I am really looking forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading this week!
I surprised myself by really liking Stupid Fast; it made me look at my young teenage son with fresh eyes. No sign of him turning into a jock, though.
ReplyDeleteI'll put the Rylant on my TBR list; I haven't seen that one before.
I had forgotten about Stupid Fast, I remember seeing that at BEA last year! Have a great reading week!
