(13/31) A Poem

13 of 31 - SOLSC 2022

The slanting light through the palms
as the grit blows through the air.
The temperature hops and skips
up, up, and up some more
to then crash down as the wind fades.
Streetlights, moonlight, slanting sunlight
all pass me by.
Sky clears to blue and can be
not only endured, but enjoyed.
Until the heat or the dust take over
once again.
