  1. VERY intriguing. Were these your students playing games? I'm stumped by the third grouping...

    1. This was my family on Saturday, culminating with watching Ireland win the rugby union Grand Slam.

  2. I love the descriptions and sounds. We played Uno in my advisory last week. You also might like a game that was new to me: Anomia--lots of funny sounds and table slapping with that one.

  3. I love games! As the person above suggested, Anomia is super fun!

I love how this post is just about the sounds you heard.

  4. This reminds me of how the board games from years past are making a big comeback ... for the betterment of all, I think!

  5. I had to giggle at myself, as I first thought you were describing a knitting pattern with the opening lines. What a fun way to describe game day in as few words as possible!

  6. I love Uno because it's ageless and easy for the youngest to the oldest to play. Such a creative post... my mind is thinking of ways to steal your idea for other activities such as chores or outdoor activities. Awesome!

  7. Your slice inspired my slice this morning! I'm not a game player, and so I was lost for a bit and had to use context clues. Then I looked back and saw the post title. ;-)
Sounds like a fun-filled evening, a release from the worries and stress of the week!

  9. I recognized Uno and Monopoly immediately (though I have never played the London version of Monopoly.) I had to read the comments, though, to find out about the third game. It sounds like your family had a terrific day!
